Cute Valentines Friendship Bracelent Paper Garland - FREE Cricut Project
Not that I need an excuse to bring out my Cricut Maker and craft adorable themed paper props and decorations, but if there ever were the perfect excuse, Valentine's Day is it! If you’re searching for an easy, last-minute DIY decor craft, this Taylor Swift Era’s Tour inspired friendship bracelet banner is the ideal choice. It is quick and simple to put together and will add a touch of joy to your Valentine's celebration or Galentine's gathering.
(PS: If you're not a Cricut user, I've also included a print and hand-cut version of the project at the end of the guide. You can download, print, cut it out with scissors, and assemble it following the same method I will outline below.)
Cute Paper Garland Valentines Cricut Project
Step 1: Download the project file
To get started, you will need the Cricut project files which you can download for FREE below. If you are not a Cricut user, keep scrolling to the end of the post for an alternative project download link!
Step 2: Save the project files into your Cricut Design Space
Click the link in the download email to open the project in the Cricut Design space and save a copy of it to your Cricut projects.
Step 3: Customise your canvas
Open the project to adjust the scale of the garland pieces to fit your needs (and Cricut Machine). If you are happy with the scale of the original project you can skip this step.
Step 4: Print and Cut
Click 'Make It' in the top right of your project canvas. Select your cutting mat size and then click next. Click 'send to printer' to print the different elements of the project, then prep your mats for cutting. For this project, I used basic white card for all the pieces. Select your material from the materials menu, adjust the cutting pressure as desired, and begin cutting the elements of the garland as prompted by the Cricut design space.
Step 5: Assemble
Once all the elements have been cut, lay out all the pieces on a large flat surface. For assembling the garland, I used a paper punch and nylon thread to create the friendship bracelet effect. Alternatively, you could simply use blue-tac to attach the pieces in place on a wall or window.
Don’t forget to snap a picture of your cute garland on display and tag me as @laurajaneillustrations on Instagram or TikTok!
